Stories from the LD2 Community

A Family's Haven
Lauren, a mother of two, often finds herself marveling at the sense of belonging LD2 has instilled in her family. "Living in North Phoenix's LD2 is like being part of a tight-knit community," she says, smiling. On weekends, her family explores the Cave Buttes Recreation Area, soaking in the natural beauty that's just a stone's throw away. The school districts here, especially Deer Valley Unified, have been a blessing, offering her children not just education but an environment where they blossom. "There's a sense of security here, a shared sense of pride amongst families. We celebrate local events together and the community feels like an extended family. It's our little oasis in the bustling city," Lauren adds.
The Entrepreneur's Dream
Alex, who owns a small business on 43rd Avenue, is enamored by the spirit of enterprise in LD2. "Opening a business here was the best decision I've ever made," he said. The support from the community has been overwhelming, with local residents frequenting his business, fostering a sense of camaraderie. He appreciates how fellow business owners collaborate rather than compete, creating a thriving ecosystem. "LD2 has this perfect blend — it appreciates the entrepreneurship spirit and cherishes the local businesses. Plus, the accessibility to Deer Valley Airport opens up so many opportunities. It's simply irreplaceable," he says.
A Young Professional's Paradise
Maya, a 25-year-old graphic designer, recently moved to LD2 to kickstart her career. "I'm in love with this place!" she exclaims. The serene nature spots and bustling businesses provides the perfect balance for her. The recreational areas offer her inspiration, while the thriving business scene, particularly the small enterprises, promises opportunities. LD2's vibrant community has embraced her warmly, making her transition smooth. "It's incredible to have such a supportive environment as I start out. I can build my career, enjoy nature, and be part of a community that's so welcoming and inclusive. LD2 is where my heart is," she says, her face lit up with enthusiasm.
